Post-Surgery Rehabilitation

Surgery is only the first step in your recovery journey. Proper post-operative rehabilitation is crucial to ensure optimal healing, restore joint mobility, and regain muscle strength. We work closely with your surgeon's protocols to guide you safely through your recovery phases.

What are the common symptoms?

• Post-surgical pain and swelling\n• Significant joint stiffness and reduced range of motion\n• Muscle atrophy (weakness) due to disuse\n• Difficulty with daily activities like walking, dressing, or lifting

How do we treat this condition?

Rehabilitation is highly phased. We start with gentle range-of-motion exercises, swelling management, and pain relief. As tissues heal, we progress to strengthening exercises, gait training, and functional restoration. We closely monitor your surgical site and adapt the program to your specific healing rate.

When should you see a physiotherapist?

Ideally, you should schedule your physiotherapy assessment before your surgery (pre-hab) or immediately after your surgeon clears you to begin rehabilitation.
