ACL & Ligament Rehab

Ligament injuries, particularly Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tears, are serious knee injuries that require months of dedicated rehabilitation, whether managed conservatively or surgically reconstructed. Our protocol-driven approach ensures a safe, systematic return to running, jumping, and pivoting.

What are the common symptoms?

• A loud "pop" or a "popping" sensation in the knee at the time of injury\n• Severe pain and inability to continue activity\n• Rapid swelling\n• Loss of range of motion\n• A feeling of instability or "giving way" with weight-bearing

How do we treat this condition?

ACL rehab is a marathon, not a sprint. We guide you through phases of swelling reduction, regaining full extension, restoring quadriceps control, progressing to closed-kinetic chain strengthening, and finally, plyometric and agility training for sport-specific readiness.

When should you see a physiotherapist?

Physiotherapy should begin almost immediately after the injury to reduce swelling and restore range of motion, which is crucial whether you are opting for surgery or conservative management.
